You have a Soul song. Do you know what it is?

You have a Soul song. Do you know what it is?

Are you singing your Soul song?

Your Soul song is the song your Soul wants to sing through you in your life.

We’re not taught how important it is.

But the Himba tribe in Namibia centers every person’s life around their Soul song.

When a woman decides to conceive, she goes into nature to commune, meditate, and receive the Soul song from the being that will be born through her.

She returns to the man who will seed her and teaches him the song.

They sing it when they make love to welcome the Soul.

And throughout her pregnancy.

During childbirth, the midwife and women in the village sing the song as the child is being born.

Throughout childhood, the child is sung their song, especially during rituals, puberty, and important celebrations to honor the child.

When the child is hurt or upset, her Soul song is sung to her.

Whenever a child makes a mistake or is out of integrity, the parents and family circle around the child and sing her Soul song to her.

And so the child learns her Soul song.

And as she becomes an adult, her Soul song runs through her body, heart, and cells.

If an person harms or violates another, or goes against the village norms, their Soul song is sung to them as “punishment”.

Wrong doing is understood as being out of alignment and integrity, that they have forgotten who they are, not that they are bad or something is wrong with them.

When a couple gets married their Soul songs are sung.

As a person prepares to die, the villagers sing their Soul song periodically, and at the moment of their transitioning.

You have a song. A Soul Song. Do you know it?

Do you know what your Soul wants to sing in your life?

If you feel your song pushing up from inside you, check out my upcoming group.

Do you need medicine for your fifth (throat) chakra disease?

Do you need medicine for your fifth (throat) chakra disease?

I firmly believe illness always has a root cause.

When I got Lyme Disease, I knew it was about my third chakra — I needed to come into my power.

When, as an Indian woman, I’d grown up to believe power was pretty much the domain of men. Ugh.

So I had to un-think, un-believe, and un-learn all my family and cultural messaging. Decide what I wanted to keep and what I wanted to throw out. Phew. That took a good while. And there’s more I’m clearing out.

And… open to, affirm, and live from new perspectives and beliefs about being in my power as a woman.

(We’re never done evolving, are we?)

The wonderful gift of it all is that it led me to my Soul Purpose: to help other women come into their Power and Truth.

So this leads me to You…

Are You dealing with a fifth chakra disease?

If you are, then you might want to consider whether part of your medicine might be to find your voice and speak your truth.

What’s a fifth chakra disease, you ask?

Well, fifth chakra diseases are those related to:

  • thyroid
  • asthma
  • bronchitis
  • jaw
  • throat
  • ears
  • voice loss or stammering
  • speech and speaking issues
  • teeth and gums
  • Frequent colds and coughs

Emotional fifth chakra issues are:

  • fear
  • self-esteem and confidence
  • shyness
  • you find it hard to speak your truth and express yourself
  • blocked creativity
  • people pleasing and co-dependence in your relationships
  • you find it hard to be yourself around people and have some social anxiety
  • hard to take up space
  • dishonesty and reduced integrity
  • struggle to be authentic
  • fear of public speaking

So, if you’re dealing with a fifth chakra disease, some medicine for you might well be to find your voice and speak your truth.

Which is common to most women on the planet at this time.

If you’d like to heal, open and activate your fifth chakra, check out my upcoming offering: Women! Find Your Voice. Speak Your Truth. It’s an 8-week online group coaching program.

It’s a great, fun, supportive way to address the root cause of any physical fifth chakra issues you might have. We have some great women signed up and a few spots left.

I’d love for you to join us.

What is Sound Medicine?

What is Sound Medicine?

I’ve started working with clients and groups using sound (crystal bowls, voice, and instruments) and their responses have been nothing short of amazing.

One man said, “I’d pay every week for this — it got me out of my mind, which I simply can’t do on my own.”

A woman after a 10-minute crystal bowl sounding said, “I felt my uterus being healed — it was an issue I had 20 years ago.”

Another woman said, “I heard the words ‘I AM’ and felt this extraordinary feeling of love for humanity and our planet. I felt connected with everyone and everything. It was a cosmic experience.”

Others say how deeply relaxed and refreshed they feel, the shifts they experience, insights, releases, visions, and connection with guides and spirits.

I’ve had many wonderful experiences with healing sounds.

Once, I had a sprained knee which ached quite abit. While leading a chant group, I experimented by resting my tanpura (an Indian drone instrument) against it. After the hour, my pain completely vanished! Since then, I use it on people’s bodies while I’m sound healing.

I’m completely fascinated and passionate about the power and possibility sound healing has for humanity and our planet.

10 ways sound medicine works for you:

  1. Heals (and speaks) to your body on cellular levels.
  2. Stimulates and strengthens all your systems and organs — endocrine, circulation, digestion, heart, brain, immune, and hormonal.
  3. Leads you into very deep states of relaxation to de-stress and get out of your non-stop mind.
  4. Balances and connects your left and right brain hemispheres.
  5. Cleanses your body and energy field of negative energy, toxins, andstuck emotions, and helps you release whatever you’re ready to release.
  6. Sings your body back to its original song and harmonics.
  7. Connects you with your spirituality. You might even connect with your guides and beings of Light and Love.
  8. Opens you to fresh, expanded perspectives and insights.
  9. Activates your third eye (pituitary gland), pineal gland, and intuition.
  10. Helps you feel refreshed, whole, restored.

What is sound medicine?

Sound medicine is a healing modality that uses the law of vibration to heal your body, mind, heart, and soul.

Sound medicine is based on the principle that you are energy. Your bones, your muscles, your organs, your thoughts, and your feelings.

Your body isn’t solid matter. It’s made of energy. Your body seems and feels solid, but it isn’t.

If you were to peer at your cells through an electron microscope, you would see a combination of waves and particles.

And these waves and particles in your cells understand sound. Yes, that’s right, they understand the language of sound just as you understand these words.

Your cells absorb, translate, and use the sounds in the way they need to.

The magical thing about sound is that you don’t have to know how it works. It just does.

With sound medicine you can treat your body and mind on their most fundamental level — as energy.

Sound medicine uses healing sounds to resonate, realign, harmonize, activate, and balance you on every level.

Some healing sounds are sounds of nature, your voice, crystal singing bowls, tuning forks, instruments, bells, gongs, and drums.

If you haven’t tried a sound healing, be prepared for a magical experience!

What Trump Becoming President Means To Me As A Woman

What Trump Becoming President Means To Me As A Woman

The first thing I did this morning, November 8, 2016, even before my early morning ritual of warm lemon water, meditation, and creative work was to check the election results on my phone.

I gasped. My stomach sank. My legs wobbled.

“Oh no!” burst from my lips. “No, America, you couldn’t have. No American women, how could you?” Moments later the thought flashes, “Now we’ll enter the dark ages.”

I hadn’t believed it was possible. Not in the slightest. I thought most other Americans saw him the way I did, as a woman, a California resident, a first generation Indian-American immigrant. I thought it was incredible that someone I believed so inexperienced, inappropriate, and ill-fit for a position of such responsibility, dignity, and magnitude could even rise as far as he did. Instead Hillary, I thought, was a shoo-in with women and minorities.

I was wrong. I’ve been living in my ivory tower as a healer, therapist, and life coach. Hoping. Perhaps even magical thinking. Trusting that most of us get that we’re walking a wonderful path towards consciousness and evolution. But living here in the San Francisco Bay Area where everyone I know is politically aligned like me, I realize how insulated I am from mainstream America.

52% of white women chose to vote for him. And 26% of Latino women. The only success was 4% of African-American women.

“Don’t they see his misogyny and sexism? How could they possibly want someone who assaults, belittles, and objectifies women? What does it mean about how they think about themselves?”

For 8 years I relished, felt proud of, and have been inspired by the glorious Michelle Obama.

I grew up in India where women are leaders — Indira Gandhi was Prime Minister for many years.

And like Hillary Clinton supporters, couldn’t wait for the U.S. to elect its first women president.

But the results are out. American women have spoken. The results reveal the majority of American women:

  • don’t value and love themselves enough to choose a president who respects, sees, hears, and cherishes them.
  • don’t want a leader who looks out for their safety and will protect their desires, needs, and bodies.
  • believe that they are to be belittled and denigrated, and need to look a certain way to be and feel valuable to themselves and men. In short, they exist to serve men.
  • don’t believe — perhaps even want — a woman to be president

This Horrifies Me.

As someone who works to empower women to love themselves, reach their fullest potential, and be Big, Bold, and Beautiful, Trump’s success is the polar opposite of what I believe.

So the election results are a glass of ice water flung at my face.

It’s a wake up call I feel in my bones, in my body, down to the very soles of my feet.

But. It makes me more determined for I feel the challenge we’re all up against.

It makes me even more committed to stand in my power as a woman.

To speak what I know to be true, essential, and sacred.

To say out loud that the Emperor isn’t wearing any clothes.

I feel an urgency in me, like the remarkable people at Standing Rock, to be a warrior for peace, love, truth, women’s empowerment, evolution, transformation, consciousness, and as steward for our beloved Planet.

The task ahead of us is clear. We, American and women all over the planet, must:

  • love ourselves
  • respect ourselves
  • demand and fight for our physical safety, protection, and respect in relationships
  • feel beautiful and powerful on the inside
  • step into and speak our feminine truth, power, and authority, and not look to men for that
  • believe in and value ourselves, our truth, and our talents
  • remove mainstream’s and patriarchal blinders and roar who we are beyond those primitive limitations
  • know that each and every one of us is a Sacred Woman capable of extraordinary magic

Are you ready?

I am.

Your seventh adornment as a whole woman: Spirituality

Your seventh adornment as a whole woman: Spirituality

Know you are sacred.

You are a divine being, a sacred woman.

You adorn yourself more and more as you come to know how sacred you are.

For you are made of the same stuff as the stars and Light, as the earth and the oceans, as thunder and lightning.

You are that energy, that Light, that Love, that preciousness that walks upon the earth.

For you are a goddess.

All that remains is for you to know yourself as one.

Here are 7 ways to adorn yourself with your sacredness.

1. Seek and find what makes you vibrate with sacredness.

Find your joy, where you feel that this, this, is who you are on a deep core level.

Whether it’s sitting in church, on your meditation seat, swimming with dolphins, growing an orchard, or gathering with friends.

2. Enter that space regularly

Create and make time to touch that sacredness.

Enter, breathe in, and nourish yourself with that sacred energy.

Touch your presence, your essence, your spiritual matter.

It doesn’t have to “look spiritual”. For everything is spiritual if you feel it to be so.

3. Remain there deep and long

    Drink deep from these depths.

Open to the mystery and awe of your being. Of just being.

Of knowing and not knowing. For there are illuminations, gifts, intuitions, guidance, and revelations to be found here.

A few moments of this, even a faint glimpse in a half hour of meditation, can alter and shift the texture of your life.

4. Call it by any name

Whether you call it Spirit or Krishna, God, Mother, the Universe or Essence, it is all you.

For whatever it is that makes a lion roar, a whale spout, a star flicker across years of traveling light, you as you create your day, love and are loved, grow and , it is all you.

If you are thirsty for it, call out to it so you may know it more.

5. Look upon your face

Whatever depth or touch of the sacred you experience, know that that is you.

Your sacredness doesn’t live outside of you, in some distant heaven on some distant throne.  It throbs in your heart. You journey with your soul.

The touches and flickers and enveloping descents of Grace and Peace and Love and Joy are you knowing your true nature.

Your sacred experiences tell you, remind you who you are.

This, this is your sacred face.

This, this, is your sacred body.

This, this, is your sacred self.

6. Walk in the world so

Gather up your divinity within you, around you.

Hold it as the altar in your heart.

And so walk, step by step, day by day, upon the earth.

7. Let it flow through you

You are both sacred and a channel for sacredness.

When you connect with your sacred Presence, with Spirit, it flows through you.

It touches and sanctifies and transforms your life, your loves and your challenges.

You touch and connect with the sacredness around you—your garden, your terrier or kitten, wild leopards of Africa, daffodils in spring, people in and not in your life, the bumblebees and hummingbirds.

Know who you are. Really are.

Know great Joy, Grace, Peace, Love, and Beauty.

Your sixth adornment as a whole woman: Intuition

Your sixth adornment as a whole woman: Intuition

As a woman, you have extraordinary capacities to access your intuition.

You know when your gut tells you something is right. Or isn’t. You have a feeling, a hunch, receive information or an image. Or you just know something about someone or a situation.

You have recurring dreams, images, or visions. You feel beings around you. You communicate with nature, guides, or see beyond physical reality. Maybe you’re a medium.

Your intuition:

  • tells you there’s more you know than what you know
  • gives you information beyond your rational mind and physical senses
  • is a doorway through which you access your Higher Self and spirituality
  • accesses your inspiration, visionary capacities, and inner vision
  • is your portal to wisdom, light, and information, guides, beings and realms
  • opens you to magic and miracles
  • helps you evolve faster

You swim upstream if you’re intuitive in a material, rational world

You may have been intuitive as a child. Magic dust still swirled around you, so you were open to seeing, hearing and knowing what adults didn’t. Maybe your intuition got talked out of you.

“What nonsense!”
“You have such a wild imagination.”
“Nothing’s under the bed!”
“What do you mean, a fairy? I don’t see it. You’ve been reading too many fairy tales!”

Many who are intuitive or psychic keep it secret because no one else gets it. Dr. Judith Orloff, a psychiatrist and intuitive, tells how she integrated her intuition with her clinical work in The Second Sight.

Have you noticed the world’s becoming more intuitive?

That’s why more and more people are interested in psychics, astrologers, channelers, shamans, mediums, energy healers, medical intuitives, and animal communicators.

As we evolve spiritually, our interest in these realms grows and we’re awakening more to our capacities in dimensions we can’t see with our eyes.

Intuition is the next intelligence

The mind’s gone as far as it can go. The problems we’re facing require solutions of a quantum leap.

Into our intuition.

We’ve begun a process of exponential evolution. Where intuition is our transportation.

Historical fears

For centuries religions and patriarchy have been terrified of the irrational, the intuitive and occult, and the feminine.

The Christians persecuted Pagans in the 4th century. In India, Tantra was sidelined by orthodox Brahmins in the 7th century. Shamans and sorcerers, witches and mediums have been burned at the stake for their gifts to travel between human and spirit worlds.

Hugely threatened, mainstream society still carries these fears:

“What cannot be seen is not to be trusted”
“What cannot be seen is not sacred”
“If you see things or hear voices then you’re a schizophrenic”
“Everything irrational is dangerous”

The Reality

The Truth is that there is so much

more to you, your reality and world than what you know.

The Truth is you’re a spiritual being in a human body, and your intuition is a doorway through which you access your spirituality.

You can know everything about your past lives, life purpose, and future potential. It’s available to you through your intuition.

Miracles and magic are very real possibilities, beyond will and life’s mundaneness and suffering.

You are intuitive, even psychic.

If you want to know these dimensions, all you need is to be willing to go beyond your mental mind and open to your intuition.

Here are 7 ways to develop your intuition:

1. Meditate

Meditate to access your spiritual nature. This opens you up to realities beyond what you know.

2. Notice

Intuition can hit you over the head. Or it’s a quick and subtle knowing, so much so that it’s easy for your mind to discount it.

Notice any quick flashes of images, voices, knowings that come to you.

Pay attention to your dreams. Work them with a therapist or dream analyst. They offer you a great deal of information.

3. Ask your guides

Yes, you have spirit guides, guardian angels, angels and all sorts of exalted beings ready to work with you. They’re ready and waiting to give you guidance. Ask them to help you develop your intuition or for whatever else you need.

4. Stay open

If you want to know something, stay open and listen for an answer. Ask for a sign. Ask for three signs.

Be willing to entertain the absurd, the weird, the preposterous.

5. Be receptive

The easiest way to access your intuition is to be receptive, not exert your will. This will be easy or difficult for you, depending on your nature.

The more you open to it, the more it opens to you.

6. Suspend judgment

It’s very easy to judge and dismiss your intuition. Because that’s what you’ve been trained to do.

If you can’t believe your intuition, try automatic writing or drawing. Get into a meditative space and sit with a a piece of paper and begin asking questions. Write down or draw the first thing that comes to you without judging. Do this until you feel complete. After a week or some time lapses, return to the conversation to see what it holds for you.

7. Get to know your pineal gland

Your pineal gland is the physical portal of your intuition. Shaped like a pine cone in the center of your head, it’s a cosmic receiver and sender of spiritual information, including the language of Light.

Try focusing on it to see what comes up. Or when you want to receive guidance.

If you don’t use it, your pineal gland becomes dormant. The more you use it, the more it awakens. Also, toxic foods and substances can block it;  sunlight and moonlight awaken it.

How else are you intuitive?
